MemeBean Support

What MemeBean does

MemeBean is a global meme browser and generator. Search for a mood, open a template, add captions to it, and share the result through your device's normal share sheet.

Getting help

Email logeshgcp@gmail.com. Please include your device model and iOS or Android version — it makes problems much faster to reproduce.

Common questions

Do I need an account? No. Every feature works without signing in.

Where are my favorites stored? On your device only. They are not synced, so reinstalling the app clears them.

A search returns nothing. The catalog is curated rather than exhaustive. Try a mood word such as "confused", "shock", "angry" or "proud".

Sharing did nothing. Sharing needs the system share sheet. If it is unavailable the app says so rather than failing silently.

Reporting a meme or blocking a source

Open any meme and tap Report (or long-press it in a list, or tap the flag in the editor), choose a reason, and tap Submit report. It disappears from your feed at once and the developer reviews every report within 24 hours. Block, next to Report, hides everything from that meme's source. Undo a block in Settings → Blocked sources. You can also email the address above with a link or screenshot.

Delete your data

MemeBean has no accounts, so there is very little to delete. The only data our server keeps about you comes from reports and blocks: the random identifier created on your device when the app was installed, the content you reported or blocked, the reason you chose, any note you typed, and your platform and app version. Nothing else is stored, and none of it is tied to your name, email or advertising identifier.

To have those records deleted, email logeshgcp@gmail.com with the subject Delete my MemeBean data. Because there is no account, tell us roughly when you reported or blocked something, which meme or source it was, and whether you use iOS or Android, so we can find the matching records. We delete them within 30 days and reply to confirm.

Everything else lives only on your device: favorites, recent searches, your blocked sources and your acceptance of the Terms of Use. Uninstalling the app (or clearing its storage) removes all of it.
