MemeBean Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

Summary

MemeBean lets you browse, search and share reaction meme images. The app works without an account, and we do not ask you for any personal information. It is free and supported by ads, which are served by Google AdMob.

Data we collect

We do not collect names, email addresses, contacts or location, and MemeBean has no analytics SDK. There is no sign-up.

Advertising

MemeBean shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. To do that, Google receives your device's advertising identifier along with technical information such as your device type, coarse region and the ads you were shown. Google uses this to choose ads, to measure them, and to detect fraud. We never send Google your searches, your captions or your photos.

You control whether those ads are personalised. In the European Economic Area and the UK you are asked on first launch, and you can change the answer at any time; on iOS you are also asked separately by Apple before any tracking identifier can be used. If you decline, MemeBean still works exactly the same — the ads are simply not tailored to you.

Google's handling of this data is covered by Google's privacy policy.

Search queries

Search requests are sent to our server to return results. Queries are not linked to you or your device.

Reports and blocks

When you report a meme or block a source, the app sends our server the item's identifier, title, image and page address, the source it is attributed to, the reason you chose and any note you typed, your app version and platform, and a random identifier created on your device when the app was installed. That identifier is not linked to you, your name or your advertising identifier; it lets us count how many different people reported the same item and stop abuse of the report button. We use this only to review and remove objectionable content, keep it for up to 12 months, and email it to the developer for review. Your list of blocked sources is also kept on your device.

Data stored on your device

Recent searches and favorites are stored locally on your device only and can be removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.

Images you create

Memes you generate are saved to your device's photo library only when you choose to save them, and shared only when you use the share function.

Face data

MemeBean does not collect, capture, store, process, or share any face data, facial recognition data, or biometric identifiers. The app does not use TrueDepth APIs, ARKit, camera facial tracking, or any facial analysis algorithms. Any references in store descriptions to "faces" refer strictly to recognizable actors and public figures depicted in pre-existing 2D movie still meme templates provided within the catalog.

Delete your data

MemeBean has no accounts, so there is very little to delete. The only data our server keeps about you comes from reports and blocks: the random identifier created on your device when the app was installed, the content you reported or blocked, the reason you chose, any note you typed, and your platform and app version. Nothing else is stored, and none of it is tied to your name, email or advertising identifier.

To have those records deleted, email logeshgcp@gmail.com with the subject Delete my MemeBean data. Because there is no account, tell us roughly when you reported or blocked something, which meme or source it was, and whether you use iOS or Android, so we can find the matching records. We delete them within 30 days and reply to confirm.

Everything else lives only on your device: favorites, recent searches, your blocked sources and your acceptance of the Terms of Use. Uninstalling the app (or clearing its storage) removes all of it.

Changes

If a future version of MemeBean adds accounts or new data practices, this policy will be updated before those features ship.
